Today is the first day of Spring! During this very special Equinox it is important to offer appreciation and gratitude to each of the four directions. Traditionally the East is seen as the creator of all things, like the sun rising from the same direction. The East is the owner of family, friends and energies of health and healing. The South sees self-transformation and fire as it’s gifts while the West holds all things playful and joy-filled in it’s stead. The North gives us energies of self-confidence and esteem and guards over our aspirations and dreams. Take a walk and thank them one and all as they give acknowledge and honor you as well!

Images of elephants are considered extraordinarily lucky partly because if their ability to remember, the intelligence, strength, sagacity and that they can live long, long lives. But also because, among the Hindus there is an elephant headed God called Ganesha who is said to bring luck to everything he touches. In India, Ganesha is seen at the entrance to most temples and homes. Put a wooden elephant, with trunk pointed up, directly inside your front door and put a coin on it’s back. Money and luck will soon be yours. Editing by Alice Liu
